We are launching the call for Polish-Belgian joint exchange projects for the years 2025–2026 (for researchers affiliated with PAS only).

on the Polish side:
  • 130 EUR daily allowance to cover maintenance, accommodation and other expenses, including municipal transportation in accordance with the internal reimbursement procedures in force in the PAS; funfding of the maximum 14 days of exchange annually per project
  • travel costs not exceeding PLN 2000

In 2025–2026, a maximum of 3 Polish-Belgian joint exchange projects will be funded.

Additional information
  • applications can be submitted only by scientists from the scientific units of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the F.R.S.-FNRS
  • 14 days of exchange quota can be used by 2 participants of the project indicated in the application
  • to reserve funds, each planned trip of the scientists from the Polish team to Belgium should be notified to the BWZ PAN in advance, providing the name and surname of the delegated person, date and duration of the stay in Belgium, as well as the estimated cost of the trip (e-mail address: Jolanta.Krzesniak@pan.pl),
  • international cooperation departments of the PAS and the F.R.S-FNRS do not assist in arranging the visits
  • the visitors should have insurance entitling the holder to free emergency medical treatment in the host country
Settlement of travel costs under accepted joint exchange projects

a debit note should be sent to the BWZ PAN of the PAS within a maximum of 21 days from the end of the stay in Belgium

  • travel costs should be converted into Polish zlotys according to the average NBP exchange rate from the day preceding the issuance of the debit note, presented according to the specification:
    • daily allowances (number of days) to cover maintenance, accommodation and other expenses, including municipal transportation in accordance with the internal reimbursement procedures in force in the PAS
    • travel costs (documented by copies of invoices, bills, tickets with prices, or vehicle mileage logs)
    • report on the stay in Belgium
